This is an introductory level session for insurance professionals with only a basic or no prior knowledge of maritime law but with a general interest in the area or looking to move into a job role that involves maritime law.  Delivered by Jeff Heasman, who holds a masters of law degree in international maritime law from Swansea University, this session will provide an overview of the foundations of international maritime law, key legislation and the seminal cases that have been before the UK courts.
